Namibia

Land of contrasts. From an ocean rough enough to cause ships to meet their demise to deserts with towering sand dunes. What better way to witness the diversity in landscapes than from a bird's eye view? Camp in complete isolation. Stay at spectacular lodging tucked into rock formations. Take it all in: earth at her purest form.

The size of this spectacular country warrants two routes to guaranty enjoying the sights in an unhurried and immersive fashion. For the ultimate experience, the routes are combined into one once-in-a-lifetime adventure

  • Day 1-3. Kickstart the trip by exploring the largest canyon in Africa: Fish River Canyon. Hike, bike, and of course, fly through this awe-inspiring landscape. Opt in to hike down the canyon and overnight in a camp or take a more leisurely approach with the helicopter.

  • Day 4-6. The flight to your next destination is broken up by an exciting stop at the ghost town of Kolmanskop. After that, your lodge will be the hub from which you will visit some more Namibian must-sees. The prime highlight being: Sossusvlei. This most photographed feature of Namibia, along with several others, is easily within reach of your private helicopter's action radius.

  • Day 7-9. Trade in the desert for the ocean at Pelican Point. This area offers a wide array of activities on and in the water, on land, and, of course now, in the air. Go kayaking with thousands of fur seals or learn more about local ecosystems on a quad bike. Why not go for a sundowner on the dunes overlooking the bay by helicopter.

  • Day 10-12. Time for yet another landscape. At the foot of the massive Brandberg mountain: Damaraland.  A fine place to relax after Pelican Point's many activities or to keep the ball rolling and venture out some more. It is the only accommodation for many, many kilometers and therefore gives the sense of having the vast Damaralands all for yourself.

  • Day 1-3. One of the stunning lodges on the Kunene river will be your base from which a variety of flying excursions are possible. We wil soar over the terrain of Marienfluss, keeping a good eye out for "fairycircles" and wildlife. The river itself, surrounded by lush greenery and mountains, offers pleasing scenic flights as well as great land activities.

  • Day 4-7. The helicopter follows the river Eastward to get a good view of the deep Epupa falls. Nestled in the most remote part of Koakaland lies this green oasis for you to discover. From here, a visit to the traditional Himba people can also be made.

  • Day 8-9. A one-night stop at Etosha will offer great respite from a long flight as well as a nice sundowner and some game viewing. The salt pans are a beautiful landmark both from the air and from the ground.

  • Day 10-12. Damaraland, see the activities at the South route.

  • Day 13-15. Optional. Extend your stay and do Pelican point as described in the South route.
